Show Complimentary Dinneb. Borne of the members of the bar of this oity, who are the personal friends of judge Hauler, propose to give him a farewell fare-well dinner, before his return to Chicago Chi-cago which takes place immediately. Whatever may have been his judicial errors, it is universally conceded that he has never been tampered with, and in view of the peculiar manner in which his removal was accomplished and the extraordinary motives that prompted it, they desire to exhibit to him their confidence io his.jpersonal purity and his judicial honor. Our only regret at bis leaving will be that he will take away with him his judicial honesty aod eccentricity, his deadly hatred of Mormonism, and those massive opinions opin-ions on which' so muoh fond care, deep consideration, and paternal Bolioitude have been bestowed ; and for the transportation of which, we learn, special freight car has been secured. |
