Tho object of the company is to develop and work the gravel mines of tho canyon. They now own 5,t00 tect of ground; have already constructed 1,100 feet of cut and tunnel; have reached a depth of forty I'cet from surface, and expect to touch bed rock in running a hundred feet further. They have prospects of forty cents to the pan in a shaft $ur.k ahead of their tunnel, which is a cheering cheer-ing indication of success. Last evening even-ing tho trustees elected 1. C. Chambers, Cham-bers, president; A. W. White, secretary secre-tary and treasurer; and A. G. Bcuiis, superintendent. |
