Show Our Mines. The development of the mines, all through Utah, has shown facts that are conclusive as to their permanency. The deeper the mines not only the better the ores, but also the greater the amount. The most notable arc the Emma, flagstaff, Savage, Montezuma, Lexington, Wellington, Wel-lington, Ohio and many others in Little Cottonwood, and to these wc can add many in Ophir, Tintic, Bingham, Stockton, Camp Floyd, Star, Lincoln and other districts, hut more names are unnecessary: Our object in this item is to show, that whenever and wherever capital has been Judiciously invested in our silver mines, the re turns have been great, and increasing in value and magnitude. The investment invest-ment of money, that can only be bad at unreasonable rates of inf crest, ha?, and is, developing a vast region of mineral ground. By these investments it has been shown conclusively, that our mines improve so vastly at depth as to warrant the outlay of very large amounld 0i" capital. As old CapL Bridgcr remarked, wo cannot get & board, may tho tree bo ever so good, unless wc invest in tho machinery to get the board out of the tree. |
