Show Theatre. "The Mot her-in-Liw, or Eustaehc Baudin" was presented last night, the acting of Mr. and Mrs. Bates in the leading roles eliciting the warmest applause The support was also exceedingly good; indeed the stock company arc playing with decided ability, abil-ity, and the entertainments now offered at the theatro are unquestionably good. We take pleasure in so stating, aud it is the subject of comment among critical criti-cal habitues of the theatre. To-night the great historical drama of "Elizabeth" will bo repeated, cast as before, the reproduction of the drama being by request, as many have desired to again see Mrs. Bates in her line impersonation of "Elizabeth." On Friday evening Mr. Bates takes a farewell benefit, and on Saturday night the second engagement of the lady and her husband closes. |
