Show One Kestit of the Sensations. In a variety of ways the mendacious telegrams from this city, sent by one or two blood-and-thunder individuals, have produced results very different I'rom those desired by the Benders. One instance we may cite. A gentleman gentle-man of Baltimore had promised $150 towards the building of a church in this city, but in writing to a clergyman of Salt Lake in regard to it, assigns as his reason for not having forwarded the amount that he understood from the telegraphic dispatches that all Gentiles had to leave the Territory, so they would not require a church. This little fact, like pome others, requires no comment. |
