Show COURT PHOCEKDINOS. THIRD JUDICIAL DISTRICT. Strickland, J., Presiding. Tuesday, April 30, 1ST2. At the opening of court, tbe judge made an order recognizing the Territorial Territo-rial marshal and attorney general as the executive officers of court, in conformity con-formity with the decision of the supreme su-preme court of the I'nitcd States. Court was opened by Territorial marshal McAlliatrr. Deputy I'. S. attorney High, having hav-ing received a ccrtilied copy of the Engclbrccht decision, moved that a nolle he entered in all cases where indictments in-dictments had been found by illegally impaneled juries tince September 1ST0. The court said an order to that eflect ; would be entered, and unless further j proceedings were commenced in the cases during the day the parlicn would be roleascd. Mr. High also moved lo turn over to the Territorial marshal the prisoners prison-ers held under commitment, but i against whom indictments had not jbecu found. An order to that effect was made. Mr. lienipatead moved to cancel all the bonds of parties under indictment I for "lascivious cohabitation," whiehj was done. j I In the case cf Waters r Clinton, ! I tbo Iho warranto was withdrawn and i the case dismissed. I Motion was made by Mr. Miner for a reduction in tho amount of bail demanded de-manded of Thomas Hawkins, whose case has been appealed to tho supremo court of tho Territory, Held under advisement. Tho liquor case came up and an argument ar-gument was made against tho oity by Mr. Do Wolf.'. Tin argument on tho other side will bo made this morning. Court a ljourncd till 10 a.m. to day. |
