Show MINUTES OP COMMITTER - ftETI.U. .... The following minutes of a meeting of the - committee appointed by the mass mooting yesterday, have, been handed in. for publication : r r . Salt Lake City, Oct. 11, 1S7J- The committee appointed by tho masa meeting to-day, to solicit donations dona-tions on behalf of the suffering people of Chicago, held their first mooting at five o'clock this evening, at the office of Messrs. Fitch & Mann. On motion, Warren llusscy, Esq., was elected chairman and John T. j Caine secretary. .-- , 1 On motion it was ' ' ! ' Jtesohedt That a mass meeting be held in front of the Salt Lake House, on Thursday evening, Oct. 12th, at 7 o'clock, for tho purposo of more fully considering the destituto condition of the suffering peoplo of Chicago, when subscription lists will be opened and donations received. Rttolvrd, That several prominent oitizens bo invited to address the meeting, and the Camp Douglas military mili-tary band, Captain Croxall's brass band, Captain Crolt's Tenth Ward band and Captain Beezley's martial band be invited to lend their assistance on the occasion. On motion tho following gentlemen were respectfully requested to act as committees in their respective districts, to adopt such measures as they may deem best to carry out tho object of rendering prompt assistance to the sufferers, to receive donations and forward for-ward tho same to Warren lluascy, Esq., the chairman of the committee : Captain Lloyd Kawlings, Bingham; Charles Head, Esq., of Clasby k Head, Little Cottonwood; W. T. liarbee, Esq., Ophir; C. E. Nichols, llomans-ville, llomans-ville, and V. W. Rockill, Eq., Diamond Dia-mond city, Tintic. On motion the secretary was re quested to not'iiy these gentlemen of their appoiutmonu, and to furnish tho proceedings of the meeting to the daily papers for publication. On motion the committee adjourned, to meet at the ollico of Fitch & Mann on Thursday morning, at 10 o'clock, when arrangements will bo immediately immedi-ately entered upon for personally soliciting solic-iting donations from the principal business houses and the citizens generally gener-ally durioe the day. .John T.
