Last night "Randall'a Thumb" was presented for the first itime here. It is a spirited and excellent excel-lent written comedy, with just enough sensationalism in it to give it the cast of piquancy sought after iu tho modern play. The characters are capital sketches, and give opportunity for neat little bits of acting. The principal parts are well divided, and were in the hands of Miss Couldock, Miss Adams, Mrs. Rowring, Mrs. A. Clawson, Messr.. MargetlH, Thorne, Dudley, Mardeo, Foster and Wilton. Though it has only three acts they are lengthy and interesting ones, and the sparkling wit of the piece keeps tho attention unflagging. un-flagging. It will be repeated this evening. Mr. Margetts made his appearance again last evening, and was warmly greeted. |
