The old fellow was a most enthusiastic Republican l!e-publican l!e-publican to the back bone yet with notions of his own in regard to lorcign politics. He had evidently swallowed some half a dozen horns of Moe's whisky, and was seated alone by the coal stov3 in the bar roum. Being thus seated, with chin resting on the palms of his hands, he soliloquized : ".My Cod, my God ! what a history this aire is making! Only to think of it Napoleon Na-poleon in prison and Tom Fitch defeated de-feated ! " |
