Some time beforo his death the late Hubert Kwalt was returning home to Mt Vuriion, in tlio dusk of tbe evening, even-ing, on the iJelawuro road, on foot ; and when bo reaehed the "white bridge," about a mile west of town, ho heard the shrill whistle of a locomotive, loco-motive, accompanied by that peculiar rattling noise that always heralds an approaching train of cars. Ho was slurtled by tlio sounds, and moro especially espe-cially from the fact that ho was partially par-tially deaf, and could only hear the whittle of a locomolivo and the noise of a train when vary close to him. lie suddenly paused and looked around him, hut mw nothing unusual ; but the sounds becoming more distinct, he looked up and very clearly beheld a train of cars passing through the air at a remarkublo speed, going in the direction of Mt. Vcrnou. The train was crowded with passengers, who appeared to bo as happy as birds on tbo wing, and waved their handkerchiefs handker-chiefs to Mr. Kwalt, from the windows as they passed by him. .Mr. 10. hastened has-tened home and related what he saw to his family, and as the vision caused him great trouble, his family endeavored endeav-ored to persuade him that he was mistaken, and that he should give himself no uneasiness on the subject, but ho declared that he could not be uiistaken, that ho was wide awake, and that bis mind was clear and his body free from sickness at the time.
