expenses of the TransMississippi congress next month Secretary Cuimer has been waiting for spare time for Mayor Glendmnlng to appoint several Important Im-portant committees who will not only arrange ar-range for collecting money to provide for the proper entertainment of tne visitors vis-itors but will also prepare a programme or entertainment ana provide tor suitable decorations during rue session ot tne congress con-gress The mayor will appoint three committee com-mittee one on finance one on eiucr tamment and one on decorations and he stated yesterday that ne would center I eta provIding tor the decoration of the streets and assembly hall In which the sessions of the congress will be held PROPOSITIONS RECEIVED So far as street decorations are concerned con-cerned Mr Cuimer has received a proposition prop-osition from committees representing those in charge of tIme coming Cnristlan tlose Endeavor rally and the Jubilee celebration celebra-tion to bear a proportionate part ot the proPrtonate expense of street decorations on the ground that as the three events will occur oc-cur about the same time or within a period of three weeks the same decor tions will do for all Mr Cuimer stated yesterday that al would probably be esterla but willing to accept this proposition that he was in no position to do so owing to the fact that he had no funds at his command for the
