Show SKCOXD DEGHEE Verdict of the Jury in the Mcllvaln Shooting Case Special to The Herald POCATELLO Ida Aug 29The I trial of Andrew Mcllvain the Union j Pacific fireman for shooting Charles i Monassa art Montpslier astt January has been In progress at Paris for the past three days and was concluded last night The jury remained out until an early hour this morning and returned a verdict of murder in the second degree Mclnvain and Manassa got into an altercation over a game I of cards when Mcllvain drew his revolver re-volver and fired the shot taking effect I in Manassas mouth Mcllvain was I i tried and found guilty of shooting with intent to kill and sentenced to the penitentiary pen-itentiary for five years Six weeks after the shooting Manassa died and Mcllvain was taken from the penitentiary peniten-tiary and brought before Judge Stand rod in the district court at Paris to be tried for murder with the above result re-sult Mcllvain will receive his sentence 0 in September |
