Show MAKING GREAT PROGRESS Ontario Drain Tunnel Extension Going Go-ing Through Granite Superintendent Chambers of the Ontario is back from the Park where he spent several days of the past week and the two first of the present At the rate of ten feet daily the extension exten-sion of the drain tunnel is being pushed from shaft No 2 to shaft No3 and the measurements taken yesterday showed that the face of the tunnel is now in over 200 feet The formation is very hard granite now being cut through Mr Chambers say that to date but two sets of timbers have been used in the extension and the indica tions are that the formation now at the face will continue for some distance yet at least if not for the entire run As a result of cleanups made at the Marsac mill two carloads of base sulphides and cleanings were yesterday yester-day shipped to the Pueblo smelting and refining works Assays of the product duct showed that there were some 60 000 fine ounces of silver in the shipment ship-ment Everything in and about the new electric light plant is operating in splendid shape and the transmission of the electricity from the works to the mines and mills is perfect |
