| Show UTAH COMMISSION I SUPREME CiOUIlT DCCISIOX1 CONSIDERED CON-SIDERED DY THAT BODY I SIDElD DCDY Certificates to be Issued For Sivnpete Box Elder and WoVer Tlie Third Salt LaKe City Precinct Passed At 315 p m yesterday the Utah after adjournment commission reassembled afer an journment of eleven days during which time they had been awaiting the tme the supreme court in the Sanpete election cases Chairman Letcher announced that under the courts decision just rendered render-ed the commission was the original canvassing board and that their duty now was to finish the canvassing of the unfinished counties viz Box Elder Weber and Sanpete A H Raleigh and John M Cannon A board his attorney appeared before the and Chairman Letcher Informed them not would that the Third precinct cases be acted upon until after the decision of the Third district court I was understood H that a copy of the supreme court aecision woum us JLUI nished the commission and after waiting wait-ing a reasonable time for its appearance appear-ance a recess was taken until 720 pm The board reconvened In the evening and Informally discussed the decision and its bearing with reference to their future action By a unanimous vote a resolution B adopted of Commissioner Tatlock was which in effect was that certificates of election be issued to the candidates shown to have received a majority of the votes in Sanpete Box Elder and Weber counties a delegates to the constitutional convention cnsttutonal then adjourned subject to the call of the chair The candidates in the three counties who would seem to be elected are as follows folows Box Elder county John D Peters H Gibbs Republican Democrat William Republ can William W Lowe Democrat and Peter Low Republican A total of two Democrats and two Republicans Weber County C N Strevell Re nublican William Driver Republican nlhHcn Fred J Keisel Democrat L B Adams Republican Lorin Farr Democrat Thomas Maloney Democrat T B Lewis Democrat David Evans Democrat Demo-crat Robert McFarlane Republican J N KImball Republican and H H Spencer Democrat A total of six Democrats and five Republicans Sanpete CountyPeterson Christian sen A C Lund L Larsen C P Larsen Lar-sen Jolly and Page all Republicans i A total of seven for the county |
