| Show A 0 F of A I I Court Palantic 8470 on Tuesday 1 night on account of the storm had a small turnout of members One candidate can-didate received his initiation The court was assisted in the degree work by two brothers of True Blue and one from Court Temple The new member entertained the court with some good selections on the organ and thus was added another musician to the membership Several matters of interest to the welfare wel-fare of the court were discussed in a friendly spirit and the bylaws were ordered printed as they are much needed One application was received and a committee appointed on same Court Salt Lake No 8423 held their usual weekly meeting on Thursday night Several matters pertaining to the welfare of the court were discussed dis-cussed One application for membership member-ship isreceived Three were elected to become members Grand Chief Ranger James Moffatt was present and spoke in particular in regard to the new floor work for the degree He urged the court to adopt same as prepared by Court True Blue and believed it would prove a great advantage to Court Salt Lake Brother Moffatt believes that all the courts should work together as regards the floor work and each strive in a friendly friend-ly spirit to excel He has proven him I sejf a capable officer and one who desires de-sires to take advantage of every means whereby the order may be improved and brought up to a high standard of fraternal work Thgre were present representatives from each of the other local courts Court Temple met Friday night and transacted considerable business The members are earnest and regular in attendance and take interest in everything every-thing that will add to the strength of their court Seven were elected to become be-come members and One application received re-ceived Court Ttue Blue on Saturday had a full house as it were Two candidates were elected and received their initiation initia-tion The business of the evening was important and considerable discussion was indulged in but all in a most friendly spirit which shows love of the order is above personal motives Court True Blue shows its toleration when it permits members of other courts to debate de-bate questions before the court This court is soon to make rapid strides in the immediate future and we would not be surprised to see it double its membership within ninety days All honor to Court True Blue and its energetic ener-getic membership The companions of the Forest Viola circle No 28 expect a good deal of business bus-iness to come up for action this evening even-ing About twenty are to be Initiated into the mysteries of this branch of Forestry The fact that this is the ladies branch of the order and many of them have joined is an incentive to the brothers to put in applications for membership as fast as possible for has it not ever been thus since the world began man loves to bask in the sunshine of womans smiles What would become of man if he were deprived de-prived of womans society He would be far worse off than the fish out of water He may criticise her to his hearts content but the fact remains he cannot keep away from her Brothers Broth-ers when you are present in the circle let the sisters do the talking they have the first right and it will not do to limit their eloquence A new court will soon be Instituted in this city One is to be instituted in Mount Pleasant this week |
