Show WOB5KIFANS TERRIBLE PALL Lee Warner ofProvo Injured In Richfield Tabernacle Richfield Sept 7This morning about 10 oclock Lee Warner one of the laborers on the tabernacle in this city fell from a broken scaffold and by almost a miracle is still living Mr Warner has a contract to do all the lathing in the tabernacle and was at his work when the accident happened During the morning he had carried up fx1orn the ground all the lath he expect edtq use during the day and had started start-ed tO work on the top of the scaffold A crash was heard and an the workmen work-men ran to the scene when they found that one of the timbers had given way which let the unfortunate laborer along with 18 bundles of laths weighing weigh-ing fully 600 pounds fall to th ground a distance of more than 35 feet War ncr was not unconscious and begun atone at-one calling for help Dr H K Neill was called and found that the man had his left ankle dislocated one of his ribs was broken near the spine and ills back na badly bruised for a distance of fully eight Inches along the small of his back Dr Neill han been to see him several times this afternoon and reports re-ports him resting easily but complains of internal Injuries which may prove fatal Lee Warner Is 24 years of age Is unmarried un-married and lives with his parents in Provo He received this contract about two weeks ago from J H Bowman and would have finished it up by next Friday night This is the third man to receive injuries in-juries from falling scaffolds on the tabernacle tab-ernacle since it was started last May but with this case like both others no claim can be laid to Contractor Bowman Bow-man as he hart warned the workmen of loading the frames too heavily Contractor Con-tractor Bowman had nothing whatever to do with the scaffolds on the inside of the house as he had turned them over to the plasterers the first of last week Dr Nelli reports that the man is resting very easily and that he may be well In the course of a short time |
