Show DEATH OF MS BLOOD An Estimable Lady Known Throughout Through-out the State Kaysvle SeDt 7Mrs ane W Blood a ladY who was whiely known throughout Davis county hi Salt Lake Ogden and elsewhere In the state pess ed to the other and better world le last yond et 1230 this morning Her illness dates from March 21 of this Iness on which date she was stricken with hemorrhage of the nrain The best of medical aid was summoned and she has received every attention that could be bestowed by loving hands A recurrence recur-rence of the hemorrhage iour weeks ago sealed her doom and she sank into unconsciousness a conUton from unconscousness death which she never rallied When beckoned her to come there was no struggle A calm expression was upon her face and she fell asl ed The deceased was active In benevolent benevo-lent and religious societies and organizations organi-zations she having been the member of longest standing in the local choir president of the Primary association Female Relief society and an officer in the Relef ofcer cIety and th Sunday school Selfab negation and devotion to the welfare devoton negaton of others were gelding principles of her benevolent nature while she was I performing a lifework that exempl I fled the virtues that emanate from a truly Christian soul The tendeset love Christan and devotion of which she was capable were bestowed Uon her husband and family and her life may be cited as a pattern of all that Is best and most noble in the hallowed words wife and mother It seemed like an Inscrutable decree of ProvIdence that there should be gathered near her from distant local ties all of those who were most near and dear to her in life Her father John Hooper a well known resident of Ogden reached her bedside a fess hours before she died as did also her brother John Her sister Mrs Margaret Manning Man-ning of Hooper and her brother George balbraith of Tulare Cal were with her as were also her husband and wih all of her ten children Her dearest wish was thus fulfilled Jane 1llkie Hooer Blood was born in Southampton Hampshire England May 2 1845 When 9 years old she came with her parents to America arriving ar-riving at New Orleans March 16 154 and at Sal Lake City on Oct 3 1851 The next year the family located In Kaysvie and excepting a sort residence resi-dence in Ogden this has been her home ever since On Set 9 1861 she ttas married to William Blood who sur ives her Five sons and five daughters have been born to them all Of whom are living Funeral services will be held at 2 p m on Saturday In the Kaysvle meeting meet-ing house |
