| Show FUNERAL OF DAVID WILLIAMS Eulogistic Remarks From Friends of V Deceased V The remains of David Williams who met death at Germania by falling from a scaffolding were laid away yesterday afternoon The funeral services were held at the Sixteenth ward meetinghouse meeting-house Bishop George R Emery presiding pre-siding The ward choir furnished music mu-sic both at the meeting house and at the grave Many floral offerings were in evidence and the meeting house was filled with friends and acquaintances Peter Reid was the first speaker He directed his remarks to the good quali ties of the deceased whom he had known for many years He was followed fol-lowed by Walter J Lewis who testified to his sterling everyday character Apostle John Henry Smith Bishop E ery and President Joseph F Smith offered of-fered a few consoling remarks of a doctrinal nature Bishop Watson of the Sixth ward opene the meeting and Edwin F Parry Par-ry V pronounced the benediction The cortege extended over two blocks interment In-terment being at the city cemetery |
