Show IIS KINSLEY DISTRICT I M Dniiyon the Veteran Miner Brings in Some High Grade Ore I N Dunyon the veteran miner and prospector Is in from Kinsley mining district Elko county Nevada bringing I bring-ing with him samples of ore from the I Kinsley group of claims that show assay as-say values of 275 ounces silver and 53 per cent lead and 269 ouroes silver and 58 per cent lead to the ton Kinsley district is located about eighteen miles west of Deep Creek and the group above mentioned comprises com-prises thirteen patented and eleven un patented claims the property of Mr Dunyon W W Chisholm J D Kendall I yon Ken-dall W W Bradley and Newt Dun yonOn the Kerung ground which Is embraced em-braced in the Kinsley holdings a tunnel has been driven for a distance of 100 feet the face of which is in I ore that carries values as high as 60 I per cent lead and 125 ounces in silver to the ton while average samples assay about 50 per cent lead from 50 lito I 80 ounces silver and 5 in gold to i the ton j J In the Doty lode considerable work has been done in the past exposing a I large body of ore from ten to twelve j feet between walls A large portion i of this mineral Is secondclass and can only be handled with railroad facilities fa-cilities or with a smelter near at hand but from the ledge Mr Dunyon extracted the specimens above referred re-ferred to which are as fine samples of highgrade chloride ore as one could wish to see Considerable ore has already al-ready been shipped from this property i and there are now 100 tons of first I 1 class ore on the dump ready for market mar-ket j Mr Dunyon has held on to this group of mines for thirtytwo years ana he states that with a railroad into I that country he could make regular and t continuous shipments The Rio d Grande Western has surveys into that region and now the Utah Midland has regon completed t survey to within fifteen miles of the Kinsley mines |
