groups in the district is that of Jones and Dix located about four miles north between Lewiston i i west of Mercur Lewlston and Silverado canyons says the Mer cury Through the group runs a gold ledgb the croppings of which are sixteen six-teen feet wide in places Several cuts have been run in on the ledge developing develop-ing in each instance large bodies of ore The boys are devoting their Wedge and Fairfield over at Glencoe canyon was bond d during the week to E S De Golyer during a period of I thirty days and the latter now has a force of men at work driving a tunnel I which he says contnue operations opera-tions A shaft is being sunk just east of and adjacent to town on the June Bug claim by DeGolyer Murphy and Lynch James K Shaw and N R Waterman Water-man of Salt Lake were here Monday examiningthe Harrington and Wicker sham groups I is rumored that George Oler recently re-cently refused 7000 for the North Star and another claim which he owns in North canyon A Osborn a
