| Show w THE OFFICIAL ORDER Utah Day at the Fair Changed to September Sep-tember 9 Action Taken by the Council of Administration Adminis-tration Utah and California Will Celebrate the Same Day The following official order of the Worlds fair council of administration was received by Secretary McDaniel ol the Utah Worlds fair commission on the 26th instant and forwarded by him to the press A communication from the director general under date ot June 20 1893 enclosing copy or a communication from Mr E A McDaniel secretary of the Utah commission requesting that the special day heretofore designated for Utah viz July 24 be changed to September 9 the anniverar of tho organization of the ter Itory having been received and considered and t appearing judicious and proper to respect ha official request thus submitted It was or dered That so much ot the special order of council of June 0 183 as designated July 2t as Utah J Day be and the same is hereby revoked ana JjL rescinded and it was further ordered That in addition to Its designation as Call fornia day of Saturday Sep 9 be and the same ls hereby designated and set apart as Utah Day but m making this designation it must be understood that the special ceremonies np iroprlato to this last designation must be so arranged as to conflict with the ceremonies and Junctions incident to its observance as California day This assignment to be subject of course to the provisions of the general recommendation rec-ommendation touching special days and It was further ordered hat copies of this order bo transmitted to t the directorgeneral the director of works th superintendent of the department of adml slons and the president at each of the Worlds Fair tively Boards or California and Utah respec |
