Show UNIFORM CLASSIFICATION Commissioners Recommend That a Law Be Passed Washington May 9The state railroad commissioners today adopted resolutions that it is the sense of the convention that competing carriers may safely be permitted per-mitted to make lawful contracts with each other for the apportionment of competitive traffic or the earnings therefrom provided provid-ed conditions and restrictions be imposed which protect the public from excessive and unreasonable charges The report of the committee on uniform classification of freight recommended that Congress enact a law requiring carriers to adopt a uniform classification without a time fixed and in default that classification classifica-tion be made by the commission Officers for the next convention to beheld be-held in this city were elected as follows Allen Fort of Georgia chairman A K Teisberg of Minnesota vicechairman and Edward A Mossly of the interstate commerce commission secretary Adjourned |
