Show I Will Be Investiprated Washington May 9After hearing I General Coxey today the House committee com-mittee on Labor by a vote of seven to twO decided to report a resolution for I a joint investigation by a special committee com-mittee of the Senate and House of the Coxey movement and the depressing I depress-ing condition of labor This decision was hailed with satisfaction by Messrs Coxey and Browne and by a number of prominent Populists and Farmers Alliance leaders including the president presi-dent of the Alliance and the chairman I and secretary of the Peoples party The vote to report the resolution was as follows Teas Brdman of Pennsylvania Wells of Wisconsin Ryan of New York Talbert of South Carolina Democrats Pence of Colorado Populist Pop-ulist Phillips of Pennsylvania Kief er of Minnesota Republicans Nays Dunn of New Jersey Democrat Demo-crat and Apsley of Massachusetts Republican Chairman McGann says the favorable favora-ble report will be made tomorow and he will soon thereafter press for a suspension of the rules and an immediate imme-diate passage of the resolution Mr Dunn says there will be a minority mi-nority report |
