Show I THE BONDING BILL City Authorities Already Engaged in Mnlcinpr ENUmntai President Cleveland has not yet attached 1 at-tached his signature to the Salt Lake bonding bill which passed the Senate on Monday or at least no news of such an important nature has been received in this city but so sure are they that the action of the president will be favorable fa-vorable that the members of the city council are already figuring upon the size of the first bond issue which will of necessity have to be made There is a difference of opinion among the learned gentelmen as to the number of figures which shall be required to represent the issue but nearly all seem agreed that it should not be less i tI man > ouuuuu lOt me reason that the citys present outstanding indebtedness is over 300000 and another 50000 at least will be expended before any funds will be received from the proposed sale A number of the councilmen however are said to be in favor of making city warrants interest bearing and the first bond issue considerable less than the amount named |
