THE DOCTOR RETURNS The Lively Reception Accorded Isaacson at American Fork The quietude of last Sabbath morning was somewhat disturbed after the arrival of the early train from the east by the announcement an-nouncement that the notorious Isaacson alias Dr Josephson had returned and had I secreted himself at the residence of his fatherinlaw Mr Rowley Sposulation at once bscimaripo as ti the object of his sudden and unexpected return re-turn vague rumors of every conceivable shape were soon afloat one was that he returned intending to induce his wife togo to-go with him and what lent color to this was the fact that he was trying to dupe the public into taking througti an innocent party 100 chances in a ruffle at SI a chance for his S3 watch and chain This scheme did not work and all went quietly until Monday night when at about 030 TJ number of masked men invaded the house with the evident intention of administering ad-ministering a dose of Centucky justice Three men seized the victim and amid his utmost struggles and outrageous yells and screams of fear made for the door but by some mistake the screen door wrs allowed to close and both captors and captive were precipitated through the door By this time the teriffically frantic yells of the doctor had brought n crowd and the mob broke and run leaving their job unfinished At this writing Isaacson is still atfithe Rowley residence with somewhat shattered nerves but we understand he nowcon siders discretion the better part of vplor and will tithe advantage of the lirst opportunity oppor-tunity and flit for good Independent
