The Rule and RuIn lung The Liberal party has named its ticket to be balloted for at the coming election The men who received the nominations represent repre-sent the ring that has so disdainfully managed tho affairs of the city during the last two years and which put itself ou record for robbing the people and working all kind of schemes imaginable It is true only one present official received a renomination but what of that It shows that the Liberals themselves are free to confess that the re tiring officials have been dishonest and inefficient in the performance of the duties entrusted to them In the management of municipal matters In their platform they uphold and sanction thq existing municipal government they fail to notice no-tice their shamefulness but commend com-mend them to the letter which plainly shows witnout any discussion whatever that should the candidates nominated last Monday be elected the same status of affairs af-fairs that exists today will continue for the next two years With one or two possible pos-sible exceptions tho office was sought for by these men and belonging to the gang that engineers and we might say controls many of the leading vices of the city is evidence enough of their unfitness to be trusted to such high positions The incompetency of tho Liberal candi dates can be seen even more clearly than before to have them in office would be a disgrace Ogden and before the explra 3 i tion of their term the taxpayers would mourn more bitterly than they do now Let thegang ticket be repudiated at the polls by a large majority on February 9
