Show THE SYNAGOGUE CHOIR It Benders the Best of all its Charmln g Pro grammes The Synagogue was thronged again last night to listen to the eloquence of Rabbi Jacobson and the magnificent muslo of the choir The first selection was Nicolaos Protect Pro-tect Us 0 Father rendered by Miss Lincoln Mrs Bessie Desn Allison and Mr Burleigh It was an exquisite piece of music and beautifully rendered The next was a duet for the sopranos Rosen thaIs We Magnify Theo 0 God sung by Mrs Joseph Siegel and Miss Lincoln Both ladies sang wifh exquisite taste and in splendid voice The selection that followed was a contralto solo Rodneys Rest in the Lord It was tho first time that Mrs BessieDcanAHison L has sun a solo in the Synagogue and the won derful charm of her voice its pnre tone and its i splendid compass filled the building with a rare influence that held her listeners entranced The sound of her grand voice rose and fell like the music of the ocean at night and died away wilh a cadence so perfect as to be almost unnatural un-natural Mrs Hegels hard work is apparent with every rendition given by tho choir in marked I improvement |
