Show Nebraska Prohibition Convention LINCOLN Neb March 4The Prohibi tion state convention for tho election of delegates to the national convention concluded con-cluded its session this evening Interest centered mainly in the selection of a chairman chair-man of the delegation and some bitterness was provoked on account of the alleged effort of ncent converts to overthrow the plans of the old workers Tho platform adopted renews adherence to the cause ol prohibition declares the right of citizens of the United States to vote should not be denied or abridged by the United States or any state on account of ser the government govern-ment should own and operate tne railroads telegraphs and telephones of the nation the money of the country should be issued by the general government only and insufficient in-sufficient quantity to meet tho demands of I sufcient quantiy I business and givo full opporiunity for tile I employment of labor and to this end an increase crease in the volume of money Is demanded j no individual or corporation should be allowed to make any profit through issuing it it should be made legal tender for all debts the volume be fixed at a definite sum per capita and made to increase in-crease with the increase of population The government should reclaim all unclaimed un-claimed and forfeited land grants to rail ways or other corporations and such lands together with the remaining portion of the public domain should be reserved for actual settlers Trusts should be prohibited pro-hibited A just service pension is recommended recom-mended the election oL Senatois Ptesi dent and Vicepresident by direct vote or the people j opposition is declared to al I manner of compromise or socalled nonpartisan non-partisan action to which the question of partsan the suppression of the liquor traffic is made a secondary matter |
