Jude Hlgrgins Shoots Colonel Price SEDALIA Mo Nov G Colonel Thomas B Price president of the Gazette printing printng Company of this city and one of the best known men in Missouri was shot and mor tally wounded this afternoon by Judge John Higgins of the Pitts county court Judge Higgins was a candidate for renom ination before the Democratic county con vention and was defeated by Price Since then there has been a bitter feeling The two men were in this city on business to day and took the 430 train for their homes Just what led t the trouble is not known but they engaged in a quarrel and Higgins shot Price in the abdomen Higgins gave himself up to the authorities at Houstonia 1 and the sheriff here received a message this evening summoning him summoning to go after the prisoner at once as fears of lynching ore entertained
