Show AT THE DRIVING PARKA PARK-A Visit to the Stables and a Peep at the Flyers SOME PREVIOUS GOOD RECORDS The Trade In Fine Condition and Everything Propitious for a Snc ceaafal and Pleasant Meting Since the making of the new track the fixing up of the drive and the entrance en-trance of Utah into the trotting circuit each years races here have attracd a growing intei est It is desirable that it should be so T ere is perhaps no sport more generally admired or which so universally excites commendation for i the reason that it shows the development develop-ment made in an animal that is more than useful while it affords a lasting pleasure There is every reason to be lieve that the approaching seasons races will be among the most interesting interest-ing ever held here We have L C Lee the Utah pacer who has made a record of 217 > this season in Denver and whose possibilities are still conjectural There are here also and again pitted against him the flyers that forced him under the Denver wire at such a terrific gait Up from this range an infinitude of records while there is a sufficient infusion in-fusion of new blood to give the races the air of uncertainty which unknown material alwavs contributes and which is the very life of racing There may be some startling developments during the meet and those who make it a business to note the manner in which the horses work out on mornings leave the track with their heads full of uncertain uncer-tain speculations as a result of their pains Already there arc over fifty horses here and the prospects are for more The trotting and pacing entries are closed the running entries close each night preceding the next days running contests What the entries will bein these remains to b3 seen and it is not therefore unlikely likely that there will be accessions of horses here before the races begin A trip to the stables yesterday morning morn-ing showed the inmates all to be in excellent ex-cellent condition The
