Show SB KID US irvJUJtY A Boy Badly Bruised by a HoIJinff Boulder Ou Stind y afternoon last three boys who reside in the Seventeenth Ward were out for recreation and pastime and had climbed the hill in the vicinity of Jones lime Kilu where they began rolling rocks downtthe steep mountainside mountain-side just j for the mn of the thing The youngsters names are Thomas Davis Frank Cope and Martin Mar-tin Schell The firstnamed had ascended the hillside some J rtisance above his companions and J r moved a husie toulhr some two feet through and starttd rolling tin the direction di-rection of where Cope and Schell were shouting as he gave the rock a push to the others to clear the track Cope succeeded in 1 nunLg out of its reach out Schell failed and was caught by it and lifted from his feet and high into the air On descending his head struck a projecting rock and the concussion con-cussion rendered him senseless When picked up he was bleeding profusely from agash in the forehead and as he was plac dm a btijrgv and taken home he complained of severe pains It was found upon elimination by Dr RIchards who was called in that his left ankle and right knee had been crushed by the force of the blow from the rolling boulJer and that he had bled considerably after the accident The yonng fellow was resting last evening even-ing though his sufferings Sunday night and yesterday were intense |
