Show THE PARNELL CASE v Some of tho Witnesses Give Interesting Interest-ing Testimony LONDON November 134t a meeting meet-ing of the Parnell comniisstonjpresid ing Justice Hannan intimated that the courts decision in the matter of the disclosure of the documents was that all the documents of the Times incl ding d-ing those which the limes solicitor thought spurious should be disclosed in order to assist in the search for the truth Sir Charles Russell counsel for the Parnellites stated he had received re-ceived several threatening letters Justice Jus-tice Hannan remarked that ha also and probably others engaged in the case received similar letters The intimidation in-timidation of witnesses he said was so certain that precautions must be taken not to allow the premature disclosure of their names The taking of evidence in relation to the outrages was then proceeded with James Mannion declared himself a Fenian and a member of the National League He had taken Dart in several outrages and Moonlight expeditions I expedi-tions He Knew no Moonlighter who was not also a member of the League Peter Flaherty of Galway testified that he was a Moonlighter and not ashamed to acknowledge it He wa perfectly ready to act with them again Flaherty said ae bad been in America since 1879 He said he had been present pres-ent at a number of League meetings in Pittsburgh and New York at whiqh Stephen Meaney presided He said Meaney collected funds for the purpose I pur-pose of buying fire arms for use in Ire and Court adjourned |
