Swaner Miss H Dixon I and others An Out at Hot Springs On Wednesday a pleasant party of ladies and gentlemen of Ogden left for a quiet days out at the Hot Springs Lunching bathing social converse and speeches by Wm Driver Esq and Judge Farr were the principal features ofthe day and a HERALU correspondent correspond-ent was assured that more pleasant party never left Junction City for an out Among Wm Middleton and C S Browning and family At Logan The wedding reception of Mr William Will-iam T Brown and Miss Carrie Anderson Ander-son of Logan was held at the residence of the grooms parents on Friday evening last when a large number of friends assembled to do honor to the wellknown and newlywedded pair The groom is the son of Mr and Mrs J H Brown and is a young man highly respected among his acquaintances acquaintan-ces and friends and the bride is as sweet and winsome a lady as the groom could wish her to be Our best wishes go with them for a lone and successful voyage on the sea of life At Forest Farm Forest Farm once one of the favorite resting places of President Brigham Young and now the home of Mrs I Katie Young was on Wednesday the I scene of festivity and enjoyment such as have not reigned there since the life Ii time of the illustrious President The Unity Club and a number of their friends drove down in the morning in I one of Mulloys drags and a number of private conveyances carrying with them I baskets and hampers ad infinitum Lunch was snread and partaken of by the ladies under the trees on the beauti fill grounds shortly after midday and towards evening high tea was set for the gentlemen who happened down after office hours The charms of the scenery the cosiness of the old farmhouse and the hospitality of its mistress all combined to render the day one of memorable enjoyment j en-joyment and not since the grounds rang to the jests and laughter of Julia Dean I Hayne George Waldrpn and the numerous j nu-merous other dramatic lights of other i days who so frequently met there at the invitation of the President had they witnessed so much geniality merriment I and sociability Besides the members of Mrs Youngs family the well known I ocrsonncl of reached this city on Wednesday evening and on Thursday morning took the northbound train for I the capital of Cache were married on Thursday returned to Salt Lake on I Friday evening and yesterday morning j left for Provo Last evening an elegant reception was tendered Mr and Mrs i George Atkm Jr at the residence of the brides parentsMr and Mrs S S I Jones where a host of friends assembled
