Show Storing Electricity The New York Tribune publishes an interesting account of recent experiments ex-periments in storing electricity under un-der the new method invented by Mr C F Brush The tests reported seem to show that the current can te transmitted to any distance by means of a hightension dynamo without perceptible loss and that after transmission it can be stored in a box from which it can be drawn at will to run incandescent lamps By means of a meter Mr Brush asserts as-serts the amount of energy stored can be registered like gas He claims further that nearly ten lights can be fed from the box to every onehorse power exerted at the steam engine This is about 50 per cent better than any result achieved hitherto Further experiments experi-ments may be needed to establish these points of advantage beyond doubt but Mr Brushs invention is apparently a great step toward the solution of the lighting preblem |
