Show f x Kl ; ' - - a Inn . K if A ' rr$9i lit L 1 PAUL CHECKETTS, BRUCE ADAMS Gains Eagle At a Court of Honor held March 31 at the Regional Center, Bruce A. Adams received his Eagle Scout award. BRUCE WAS born December 28, 1963 at Rock Springs, Wyo. to Clair and Anita Adams. He attends seventh grade at Millcreek Jr. High. As a member of Troop 216 of the Bountiful 23rd Ward, Bruce is serving as assistant senior patrol leader and as Deacons Quorum president. HIS EAGLE service project consisted of making a large caboose shaped, and decorated, decorat-ed, toy box on wheels for the Relief Society nursery. He also al-so directed a drive to fill the box with toys. Bruce's favorite merit badges were fishing, archery and dog care. He is an avid fisherman and enjoys camping camp-ing with his familv. SAM FOWLER presented Bruce with his Eagle neckerchief on behalf of the Bountiful Rotary Club. Bruce will be attending the National Scout Jamboree at Moraine State Park, Penn. in "August. MANY thanks to Marvin Gardner, Terry Price, John Martinez and Clair Adams for the encouragement and help they have given Bruce in obtaining ob-taining this goal. Paul G. Checketts, son ol Nancy S. and Darrell A. Checketts also received his Eagle Scout award at the Court of Honor at the Regional Center on March 31, 1977. PAUL WAS born May 22, 1962, is in the ninth grade at Millcreek Jr. High, is employed by the Salt Lake Tribune as a paperboy, and his favorite hobbies are sports, reading and horses. Preparing and distributing a flyer to the people of the Bountiful Fifth voting district giving the date and voting location, and encouraging them to vote in the general election was Paul's Eagle project. PAUL IS an avid reader, which is the reason that his favorite merit badge and the first he earned was reading. He was the first in his Seminary class to complete reading the New Testament last fall. Appreciation is expressed to his first scoutmaster Gam Nelson of the Bountiful 30th Ward, and to Terry Price, Marv Gardner, Clair Adams and John Martinez, scouting leaders of the Bountiful 23rd Ward and to his dad for their support and encouragement given in earning this rank. PAUL FOLLOWS the example set by his two older brothers in becoming an Eagle, being the third in his family to do so. |
