Show Davos GdusiipuiGi' By GARY R. BLODGETT Davis County will soon have a new computer to streamline two phases of county operation. BUT THE arrival of the machine, with two separate keyboards, sometime next month won't be met with much enthusiasm from county taxpayers. The reason being that one phase of the computer's operation will be to evaluate and record tax notices much more rapidly than in the past. AND IF it's one thing county residents don't like, it's the arrival in the mail of the annual tax evaluation notice. Just the same, the tax notice is inevitable (you know, like taxes and death) and the computer com-puter will merely make the operation run more smoothly and accurately. However, it might be that if some property owners have been getting by without paying taxes on a parcel of property, their time may be up. "ONE PHASE of the computer's operation is to revise, make changes and record all parcels of private property within the county -- more than 45,000 taxable properties," said LuDeen Gibbons, Gib-bons, chief deputy auditor. She said the other phase of the operation opera-tion will be to streamline the operation of evaluating and preparing tax notices -again about 45,000 per year.
