Show Pupldns Damago Mail Bonos FRUIT HEIGHTS - A post-Halloween prank by individuals in-dividuals who reportedly threw pumpkins from a moving mov-ing pickup truck has caused damage to more than 50 mail boxes in the rural area of central Davis County. DAVIS COUNTY Sheriff's Sergeant Kenneth Payne said several youths went "joyrid- ing" Sunday evening and bombarded some 58 mailboxes mail-boxes in Fruit Heights, West Kaysville and parts of Layton with large pumpkins thrown from the rear of a pickup truck. He said many of the mailboxes mail-boxes were destroyed "by direct hits" while other boxes were damaged and left in need of repairs. A pumpkin was also thrown through the window of a parked car. SERGEANT PAYNE said the pumpkins were apparently ap-parently stolen from a parked truck. He said that several juveniles are being questioned ques-tioned for their part in the costly prank. |
