WAiT FOR THE ROAD Farmers Anxious to Postpone Their Beet Digging Until the Line Is Completed Special to The Ogden Oct 4 Quite a large delegation of beet growers of Plain City CI y were in inthe inthe inthe the city Saturday and yesterday trying to persuade the Amalgamated Sugar com corn company company pany to not order the digging of or beets in that locality until the Rapid Transit Street StreetCar StreetCar StreetCar Car company finishes its road to that point As a result of the conference only onla a small portion of the beets of the Plain City district were ordered harvested this morning Beet fleet digging which has been suspended for a number of days in the immediate vicinity of Ogden was resumed this morn morning morning ing log It is thought by the sugar company people that there will be no occasion for further suspension The Lewiston factory was opened for business Friday morning to which a con considerable considerable considerable tonnage of beets will be shipped from this section It is expected too that the Logan factory factor will be opened early next week With the two factories of the northern part of the state in opera operation operation operation tion it is thought that there can be he no further congestion here In the matter of I handling the beet crop I
