Show 4 In u React To Proposed Hours WEST VALLEY. City officials here have mixed feelings about an effort under way in the state, to change the workday of government employees to a period from noon to 8 p.m. An organization which calls itself the Generic Group claims the nations productivity is damaged every time a person takes time off from work to visit a government office and says the new hours would make government offices more accessible to everyone. The group is circulating several petitions throughout the state in an attempt to gain the 60,000 signitures required to get the matter on the November election ballot. West Valley City Manager John Newman said he would support anything the citizens want, but that the knowledgable citizen would vote against the proposal. If the citizens want us to work from midnight to 8 a.m., thats the way it will be, but I think the knowledgable citizen wont want (the change) because it will cost more money, Newman said. Finance Director Russ Sanderson said the change would be impractical because it would put govern s Woodstock elementary students are treated to a song and dance show during SHOWTIME By Government Offices za i-'- . . .
