Show HYRUM A. BRYNER FUNERAL HELD Diel Fiiday nt Home of Sister In Huutington Following Long Illness. Funeral services were held here Monday under the direction of the South ward bishopric with Bishop Harold Snow presiding, for Hyrum A. Bryner, who died Friday at the home of his sister, Mrs. Olof Sandberg, at Huntington, Hunting-ton, following a long illness from chronic rheumatism and complications. The opening song was a quartet, quar-tet, "Beautiful Isle", by Mrs. Nellie Bringhurst, Mrs. Paula Mathis, W. A. Whitehead and George P. Lytle. Opening prayer was by Joseph T. Atkin, and a duet, "Sometime, Somewhere", was sung by Mr. Whitehead and Mr. Lytle. Speakers .were Arthur F. Miles and Joseph K. Nicholes and the closing song was by Mrs. Viola Gentry. The benediction was pronounced pro-nounced by John T. Woodbury, Jr., and the grave in ;he St. George city cemetery was dedicated dedi-cated by W. B. Mathis. Mr. Bryner was born !:i St. George April 5, 1SS3, a son of Casper and Susan Bryner, and spent, his early boyhood here. He was married in the St. George temple September 10, 1907, to Rhoda Cannon, who died March 12, 1914. He had been in poor health far about four years, and for the past year was confined indoors by his ailment for the greater part of the time. Surviving are a son and daughter, II. George, of San Francisco, and Miss Alton, of Grand Junction, Colo.; a brother, bro-ther, Carl, of Salt Lake City, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary B. Cannon Can-non of Fielding, and Mrs. Sandberg. Sand-berg. With the exception of his brother, all were at the funeral. A half-brother, David, of Price, was also present. |
