Show Johh Petty Dies At Home In Hurricane Services Held Tuesday HURRICANE, . Utah John H. Petty, 80, died at his home here on Sunday, May 19, following an illness of two months of gland and several complications. He had been in poor health for several years prior to the last sickness. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Tues-day, May 21, in the Hurricane stake chapel, under the direction of Bp. Allie Stout. Mr. Petty was bom June 19, 1859, in Manti, Utah. His parents were Albert and Lucinda Hag-gerty Hag-gerty Ayres Petty. He had lived in Hurricane for the past 18 years and prior to that had resided re-sided in Manti and Springdale. He married Aurelia Spencer Stevens on November 12, 1924 in the St. George Temple. He is survived by four living children, two boys and two girls. His children chil-dren are: Albert Petty and Heber Petty of Eager, Ariz.; Mrs. Esther (Continued on page eight) John H. Jennings, Claudius Hirschi and Dr. Frank numbers were a string trio by Mona Wilson, LaDonna Stevens and Barbara Tweedie; vocal duet by his granddaughters, Utonnah and Lola Jones and "Sometime, Somewhere" by the choir. Interment Inter-ment was in the Hurricane cemetery. |
