Show Son of Chamber President Weds in Home Ceremony! A marriage of interest to this area took place Thursday night w h e n Ens. Robert Warren liarnes, son of Mr. and Mrs. John C. liarnes, 1100 Yale Ave., claimed as his bride Miss Jacqueline Jac-queline Collett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Uulon Collett. The ceremony was performed by Mayor Karl J. Glade at the residence res-idence of the bride's ua"Ie, Owen M. Collett, Kfi Yalecrest, in tln presence of membei's of the family and a few close friends. The bride, lovely in a wedding wed-ding gown of white marquisette with finger-tip veil, carried in her hand a family heirloom, a Tiible, which was carried by her great-; great-grandmother when s a fe was marired over a century ego, With it she caried a white orchid or-chid with satin streamers. She was given away by her father, following the ceremony a wed- ding cake was cut for the family and a few invited guests. Ensign Barnes, who returned here but recently after completing complet-ing operational training at Banana Ba-nana River, Fla., left last night with his bride for San Diego for reassignment. The new Mrs. Barnes wore a black dressmaker dress-maker model suit as her golng-away golng-away outfit. |
