Rasband, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter J. Rasband of Heber City. The marriage is to take place the latter part of this month in California, where Mr. Rasband is serving in the armed forces. THE PARI PASSU CLUB HONORED THEIR SPONSORS the Alpha Beta club, at a tea last Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. LaRell Johnson, club president. presi-dent. Fall flowers added a touch of loveliness to the entertaining rooms. A beautiful centerpiece of white chrysanthemums and blue delphiniums was employed on the dining table to emphasize the club colors. White tapers in crystal candelabra burned at either end of the centerpiece and the table was covered with a beautiful lace cloth. A gorgeous silver service was employed in the serving. Mrs. Finley Roylance and Naomi Weight, Martha Bird and Mrs. Rex Larsen served. Musical numbers num-bers were furnished by Mrs. Ralph Olsen of Provo, Mrs. Kay Johnson, John-son, Mercedes Collett, Bernice Pal-freyman, Pal-freyman, and Mrs. Max Sumsion. Formal attire added to the ef- DAVID THOMAS WAS GUEST OF HONOR at a nicely arranged turkey dinner given by Mr. and Mrs. Emil Ost-lund Ost-lund Friday evening at their home. A brother of Mrs. Ostlund, he was home on furlough from the navy and returned Sunday evening to a naval training base near Chicago. MRS. ORA ROWLAND WAS HOSTESS THURSDAY evening to members of the Social Twelve club at her home. The group enjoyed contract bridge and a delicious luncheon. Prizes in the form of war stamps were won during the evening eve-ning by Mrs. Hilda Grant and Mrs. Lois Clegg. Special guests at the party were Mrs. Emma Kennedy Ken-nedy and Mrs. Philda Finley. |
