Show : I Milton R. Hales Takes California Bride MRS. EVELYN JORDAN ENTERTAINED HER CLUB at a delightful party at her home Monday evening. Unique place cards were formed from autumn leaves and an autumn leaf and candle arrangement made a pretty centerpiece for each small table. Cards were the feature of entertainment, enter-tainment, with Jane Strong receiving receiv-ing high score favor, Aileen Mc-Kenzie Mc-Kenzie the consolation, and Carrie 4 A marriage of interest to .local Kple is that of Harriet Bacon, faster of Dr. and Mrs. Harry Paddock Bacon, and Milton Reynolds Rey-nolds Hales of Los Angeles, Calif., which took place on Tuesday, October Oc-tober 6. Mr. Hales is a grandson of Mrs. I H. T. Reynolds, Sr., and has spent most of his summers in Spring-vie. Spring-vie. For the present they are residing re-siding in Los Angeles. Mr. Hales is attending the medical school at the University of Southern California, Cali-fornia, where he is affiliated with the Phi Chi fraternity. Mrs. Hales is attending U. C. L. A. Jolley the guest prize. Other guests at the party were Fern Senior and Elsie Robertson. Preceding the card games, a tasty luncheon was served to 12 members and guests. MBS. IVAN BLAND WAS HONORED with a bridal shower given by ' Sirs. T. E. Child, an aunt, and her mother, Mrs. Wells Ferguson, on Friday evening. The entertainment consisted of s delightful book review given by Mrs. Mae Huntingon, a reading by Mrs. Ella Reynolds, and musical numbers. At the conclusion of the party, a delicious luncheon was served to shout 60 relatives and friends. THE MILTON HARRISONS ENTERTAINED AT DINNER at their home in honor of Dr. Hial Hales of Los Angeles, who has been visiting relatives and friends in Utah. Covers were arranged for Mr. and Mrs. George Hales, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Hales, Mr. and Mrs. Angus Hales of Spanish Fork, Mr. and Mrs. G. Ray Hales, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Frandsen, Mr. and Mrs. George Hawkins, and the host and hostess. MRS. EARL COXDIE LYTERTATXED SATURDAY for friends from Salt Lake City. The group, comprising Ivie Ensign, Ethel Law, Adelina Hander ' and Mary Riches, were taken by Mrs. Condie over the Nebo drive and enjoyed the beautiful autumn scenery. A noon they were served delicious chicken lunch in Nephi tanyon. CAMP AARON JOHNSON, D. U. P., MET THURSDAY at the home of Mrs. Faye Snelson, with Captain Mary Hatch in charge. The meeting featured a program in which the history of Mrs Sylvia Miner was given by her daughter, Mrs. Thora Dalley. Mrs. Mary Bird entertained with a piano selection, and Mrs. Olive Anderson gave a reading. At the close of the meeting, lunch was served to 23 members and guests. Hostesses for the afternoon after-noon were Mrs. Salena Ke sey, Mrs. Mary Hatch, Mrs.- Mehssa Thompson, Mrs. Ada Jessee, M. Margaret Miner, and Mrs. Susie Boyer. THE OLD FRIENDS CLUB WERE GUESTS of Mrs. Reta Kelly on Friday evening eve-ning A tasty dessert lunch was served early and later progressive "500" was played, with prizes . for the games going to Mrs. Muriel Robertson and Mrs. Elva Averett. Mrs. Austin Roylance was a special spe-cial guest and eleven club mem bers attended.
