Mrs. Barbara Francia of this city announces the engagement of her daughter Maurine to Cadet Emil Malmberg, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Malmberg, of Salt Lake City. The bride-to-be Is a graduate of the local high school, and since graduation has been employed In government work at San Diego, Calif. She is now attending the Brigham Young university and plans to be married in the Spring-. Cadet Malmberg is a graduate of West high school, and a former student of the University of Utah. He has filled an L. D. S. mission in the central states. He is now finishing fin-ishing a course in chemical engineering engi-neering at the Pennsylvania State College, being stationed there with the U. S. army.
