Show Alvin Winters, heart victim; services today Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted today at 11 a.m., in the First-Twelfth Ward for Alvin Alonzo Winters, 73, who died Sunday night at the Utah Valley Val-ley Hospital following a heart attack. Bishop David Gledhill of the First Ward will officiate. offici-ate. Friends may call at the Wheeler Mortuary prior to the services. Burial will be in the Hoytsville Cemetery. . ' K; j t. Surviving are his widow of Springville; one daughter, Mrs. Byron (Sheila) Cottam of Springville; two grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Lavern Jones of Springville; Carl Winters, Park City; W. F. Winters, Price; George Winters and Mrs. Reed (lone). Brooks of Hoytsville and Mrs. Verl (Beulah) Wil-loughby Wil-loughby of Coalville. . Alvin Alonzo Winters, for whom services are being held today in the First Ward Mr. Winters was born Nov. 16, 1890 in Hoytsville, a son of Alonzo and Elizabeth Ann Wilkerson Winters. He married Emma Somers on May 17, 1922 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Winters made his home in Hoytsville until 1951, where he followed farming. For five years he served as caretaker of the California LDS Mission Home, and for two years served serv-ed in the same position at the New England Mission Home. Mr. and Mrs. Winters came to Springville six years ago. He was an active member of the LDS Church, having held the office of high priest and |
