Show FUNERAL HELD WED. FOR ARCH H. BIRD Funeral services for Arch H. Bird, 62, life-long resident of this city, were conducted in the First ward chapel Wednesday afternoon under the direction of Bishop A. G. Peterson. Burial was in the City cemetery, directed by A. Y. Wheeler & Son mortuary. Mr. Bird was found dead at his home Sunday noon. He had been in ill health for some time. Born in Springville, March 13, 1879, he was a son of Walter and Arabella Hailey Bird, early Springville Spring-ville pioneers. He had lived here always. During his earlier life he farmed and for a number of years was employed with the Utah-Idaho Sugar company. He married Anna , Sumsion in February, 1905, at Springville. She died in May, 1930, and he later married Clara Page of Payson. Surviving are a daughter and a son, Mrs. Charles Harding of Long Island, N. Y.; Hailey S. Bird of El Cerrito, Calif; two grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Bird of Springville, Spring-ville, and a sister, Mrs. Will Loader Load-er of Linden. Another brother, Walter F. Bird, died three weeks ago. |
