Show Ladies Literary Club At Saturday Luncheon Ladies Literary club members beginning their regular club season, sea-son, were entertained at a 12 o'clock luncheon at the home of Mrs. E. S. Groesbeck Saturday. President Blanch Eeal was in charge and conducted short business busi-ness in which the next meeting was announced for Wednesday, September 29, instead of Thursday, Thurs-day, at the home of Mis. Eerton Groesbeck, with Mrs. E. T. Cran-dall Cran-dall to give the program. Mrs. Groesbeck, program chairman, chair-man, explained the yearbooks and the theme of the year which is to be "A Glimpse of the World," in which the trouble areas as well as the friendly countries will be taken up. Immediately following the luncheon, lunch-eon, which was served to eighteen members, each of the ladies told briefly of their summer activities. Kea Straw also entroduced the two new members, Mrs. Helen Anderson An-derson and Mrs. M. N. Moon, who were welcomed into the club. Assisting the hostess in serving were her daughter, Kay and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Monty Groesbeck. |
