S V V i Mrs. Margaret Peterson, who ' will observe her 90th birthday birth-day Friday at her residence, ' Springville lady to mark 90th birthday Friday Mrs. Margaret Peterson, who has made her home in Springville Spring-ville for the past four year?, will observe her 90th birthday, Friday, May 19, at her residence, resi-dence, 48 Senior Court. She is the mother of Mrs. Vernon (Norma) Castleton and in her honor a Mothers Day family dinner was given at the Castleton home Sunday. She also has a son, Clarence A. Peterson of Salt Lake City, who attended the dinner in addition ad-dition to most of her 12 gTand-chi'.dren gTand-chi'.dren and nine great grandchildren. grand-children. A native of Ellerbeck, Germany, Ger-many, Mrs. Peterson came to this country at the age of 14 years and later sent money back to bring her three sisters, one at a time, and her parents to this country. They have all preceded her in death. She was married to Peter A. Peterson, Jan. 10, 1906, in the Salt Lake Temple. He died Sept. 8, 1942. She lived at Salem until four years ago, when she partially lost her sight. She lives alone, does her own work and enjoys listening to the radio. She has served as a counselor counsel-or in Primary and as a teacher in the organization and as a Relief Society teacher. Mrs. Nell Alleman has returned re-turned to her home from Las Vegas, where she spent several weeks with her son, Glenn Alleman Alle-man and wife and family. She went especially to see her grandson, Kurt, 12, receive his Eagle Scout Award. |
