Show District Governor to Be Speaker at Kiwanis Birthday Party Eighteen years of Kiwanis In Springville will be celebrated tonight to-night in the Memorial Hall when Kifanians and their wives attend the annual birthday party. District Governor of Kiwanis, Hugh Caldwell, will be the guest speaker; Jimmjy Win.gate will give a talk on "Eighteen Years of Kiwanis in Springville," and Mrs. J. O. Reynolds will talk on "Women "Wo-men Boosters of Kiwanis." W. W. Brockbank is toastmast-er toastmast-er and he has arranged for an interesting program including musical numbers by Mrs. Aleene Peterson of Provo who will give vocal numbers, and renditions by a string trio from Brigham Young University under the direction, of Gustav Guggert. A dancing number num-ber will be given under the direction direc-tion of Mildred Williams of Spanish Span-ish Fork. Kiwanis met with Scouts, Scouters, and city officials last week at a banquet in observance of the thirteenth anniversary of national scouting. Carl Eyring, dean of the college of arts and sciences of the Brigham Young University was guest speaker and Claude G. Salisbury was toast-master. |
